Athletics

Philosophy

The goal of the DFAA Athletic Program is to help our students athletes develop the skills, commitment, and work ethic necessary to compete at the intermediate level and beyond. We believe sportsmanship is very important to developing young athletes and pride ourselves in our good sportsmanship.

Behavior Expectations

We have high expectations for our student athletes both on the court and in the classroom. We want our athletes to be role models for their classmates and teammates. We have a three-strike policy, after three strikes you will be dismissed from the team. The strikes can be from incidents during the school day and/or practice and games.

Athletic Requirements

In order to participate on a SBCSC sponsored athletic team a student must meet the following criteria:
1. At the Intermediate Center level, the minimum athletic requirement is passing 70% of classes based upon the last 9 week grading period unless a semester grade is present, then the semester grade takes precedence for eligibility purposes.
