Our students experience a fine arts and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) curriculum. Students in grades 6-8 attend classes in gender-based or co-ed classrooms. STEAM topics are integrated in all subject areas through project-based learning. Expanded instruction in the arts is offered during the school day as well as in the After-School Arts Adventure program.

Free or reduced meals and textbooks

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a free meal option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. CEP allows the nation’s highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without collecting household applications. However, since there is only one application for meals and textbooks, SBCSC will only be reimbursed for textbooks if you fill out the form. Be sure to check and digitally sign the textbook section. The form is here: https://family.titank12.com/. If you have any questions, call our office at 574-393-6059.

Payments for textbook fees can be taken over the phone with a credit or debit card by calling 574-393-6099. When Textbook Rental Invoices are mailed you can pay with a credit card by putting the card number on the provided space on the invoice or with a check or money order through the mail. You can also come in person to the fourth floor of the Administration Building to the Fees Cashier's office to pay with cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card.
