Philosophy

The goal of the DFAA Athletic Program is to help our students athletes develop the skills, commitment, and work ethic necessary to compete at the intermediate level and beyond. We believe sportsmanship is very important to developing young athletes and pride ourselves in our good sportsmanship. 

Behavior Expectations

We have high expectations for our student athletes both on the court and in the classroom. We want our athletes to be role models for their classmates and teammates. We have a three-strike policy, after three strikes you will be dismissed from the team. The strikes can be from incidents during the school day and/or practice and games. 

Athletic Requirements

In order to participate on a SBCSC sponsored athletic team a student must meet the following criteria: 
1. At the Intermediate Center level, the minimum athletic requirement is passing 70% of classes based upon the last 9 week grading period unless a semester grade is present, then the semester grade takes precedence for eligibility purposes.
2.
Have an athletic physical conducted after April 1st on file with the athletic office.
3.
Submit a payment of $20 to cover the mandatory insurance plan and complete the 
    insurance waiver form.

4.
Complete and sign a Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form.
5. 
Complete and return both the school corporation and school code of conduct waivers.
6.
Complete a Medical Release and Information Form.
7.
Attend mandatory study tables during the season.
